CHARITIES COMMITTEE - PACIFIC
The Pacific branch of the Canadian Jewish Congress Charities Committee represents
the province's Jewish community on a variety of matters, including the promotion
of intercultural and interfaith relations, Holocaust memorialization, anti-racism
outreach, education and multiculturalism.
CJC Charities Committee - Pacific aims to create an open and enhanced dialogue
with other religions, ethnic and minority groups to foster understanding, good
will and continue to work together on issues of concern. It seeks to promote
better understanding among the different ethnic groups and advocate for the
advancement of equality and human rights.
The Community Outreach and Liaison Group of CJC Charities Committee - Pacific
combats antisemitism and racism and ensures the community is protected from
antisemitic acts, publications and Internet sites; promotes understanding among
all ethnic and religious groups; and advocates the advancement of equality and
human rights. The Pacific office of CJC Charities Committee acts as a resource
for the presentation and dissemination of information to the Jewish community.
With the participation and assistance of Jewish community agencies and in partnership
with other organizations, it strives to ensure greater understanding of the
issues affecting the status and welfare of the Jewish community.
