He was killed in action on September 12, 1944, while serving with the First Special Service Force. Enlisting in the Canadian army on September 6, 1940, as a private, Sergeant Biblowitz went overseas on October 7, 1943. He was a member of the Victoria Rifles of Canada and later served with the airborne troops at Kiska and Italy.
